Demon Bunny

Finally finished the black bunny scarf. The red eyes kind of "glow" in photos with flash. It's pretty cool. But since the rabbit is black, it's hard to take photos!

AC Prep: Bows 3

More yarn = more bows. I feel like a lot of these prep posts will mostly be picture posts...unless I make new things.

AC Prep: Round Flower Pins

I bought more yarn. Yay! More white! Along with some black safety eyes - 9mm & 6mm, jump rings, new crochet hooks in varying sizes, and a tiny round of ric-rac and ribbon [it was a dollar and i liked the colors]. I am so excited to have yarn to work with again~ Because I gotta say, I was feeling kind of bored without crocheting all the time. It was a little sad not having much to keep me busy right before classes started again...
I'd post a photo of my yarn, but I ended up buying colors I'd had before, save for a new shade of red. Oh well, they're good colors!

New white yarn, blue ric-rac flower-thing, and a green bow~ Not sure how I feel about having the white lace bow though, but something needed to fill the space. I might replace it with a yarn one instead.

Pony Progress

I'm sure it's obvious that "My Little Frilly" came from My Little Pony.
I wanted to make pony plushes. And I finally did. And it did not turn out as nice as I would have liked! But it's just a prototype after all.

Round Flower Pins + Tiny Totoro

Running low on yarn...it's a little sad for me since I've gotten so use to doing it all the time.

Doilies and Roses

Had a go at making doily-esque things...and followed up with some roses for the center. I'm not sure what type of hair accessory this is called. In lolita I think it would be a canotier, but after googling to check if that were true, canotiers seem to be boater hats! I'm confused, but I guess I learned something new.

A rather large blue rose. I don't think I'll permanently attach it. It doesn't look as nice as I was hoping. But I've got three small ones that will likely take it's place!

Colored Eyes

I was running low on safety eyes and with Anime Conji coming up in two months, I need to stock up. Yet I somehow ended up with colored eyes instead of restocking the solid black. I wanted to experiment, and the supplier that I had originally gotten the black from also had a pair of albino/pink eyes. They were cool...but I wasn't sure about buying them yet. I waited too long and someone else snagged them. Instead of just buying the black eyes, I looked up another shop that also had albino eyes, but more red. Wasn't about to let the opportunity slip again, so I bought them along with another two pairs of eyes, also colored.

AC Prep: Bows 2

I've been watching Bones a lot lately. I've also been making a lot of bows. At the same time. I know, my multitasking abilities are amazing ;P

Neapolitan bows with a brown center instead of vanilla. I figured since I had more brown, I should be using it so I can save more of the vanilla. I really really reaaaaally like the neapolitan bows. But I've run out of pink!

AC Prep: Bows

I've been making bows. Lots of bows.

Solid colored bows.

Bows ruffles or multiple colors. The third one looks kind of like bacon in color.

And neapolitan bows.

Still have lots more to make. The medium bows will be put on snappy clips, the rest will be on double brooches, you know, whenever they arrive here.

Bunny Bun Progress

Since the picture of the pink bunny head with ears kind of resembled a rabbit shaped bun, I decided to actually try and crochet one! I used my bunny scarf pattern as a guide to start out and was going to keep track of what alterations I made...didn't quite work out, but I think if I try again, I should be able to get down a pattern, even if it's not the same as what I did for this one. But I don't know how much interest there would be in such a thing, and I personally only need one...but if people would like to own one, I could certainly make more.

As I was stuffing it, it started to resemble a cat toy that could be filled with catnip. If I had any, I likely would have put some in for my cats to bat around the house. Oh well. It looks kind of like a nugget or an egg too.

Collars + Patterns

This all started with a hat that I knitted myself sometime ago, maybe 3 years ago. It was a red gradient yarn  that was leftover from scarf+hat set I had made for a friend. I wanted to make a long pointed hat, inspired by Link of the Legend of Zelda game series. Of course, being long and pointed was the only inspiration I took, it was red after all and certainly didn't resemble his in any way, even in the red tunic. But I didn't have enough yarn, so it ended up pretty short and instead it became my Pikmin hat. Not that it resembled the red Pikmin much, it just happened to have that sort of rounded shape that came to a point. I then added a leaf to seal the deal.

Wanting to try again, I bought a brown gradient instead since it suited my taste more. I started on it, and eventually put it aside to finish later. It never got finished and I'd lost interest in knitting as time progressed. As I said before, I'm not a knitter! All I managed to whip up was the ribbed brim and a few rows of the hat. I recently unraveled it to make something else, crocheted of course, and turned it into a large slouchy cap/beret. It's a bit too big though, so I don't know if I'm going to unravel that and make another hat again, but for now, I like it.

Marshmallow Pink Bunny

It looks kind of like a pink bunny shaped marshmallow here, right? That's something kind of cute, isn't it? Maybe if I adjusted the head pattern and made the ears shorter and changed eye placement it could be like a bunny-bun. Maybe.

Tiny.Angry.Crafter

I recently won a giveaway hosted by a fellow crafter in San Diego, Carla of Tiny.Angry.Crafter. She's someone I've met a few times for different occasions, such as doll meet ups and conventions, and is a lovely person to be around.

Her crafts are also fantastic.

I received two items, an octopus and a pair of wristwarmers, both in this foresty-moss green [which is great, because green is my favorite color].

The octopus! Super cute, and will probably live on my cellphone after I attach a strap and stuff to it. It can be best friends with my Chickpea Mameshiba that also lives on my phone. I especially love how it's tendrils curl. Makes it fun to hold in my hand since they wrap around my fingers and kind of "hold on." Or maybe I'm just too amused by it.

Also included were a couple business cards, two with pictures and two standard. I really like the octopus+chopsticks picture and the overall design of the standard card, so I'll probably keep those and give away the other two. To whom I'm not entirely sure yet. Probably people who appreciate Harry Potter and want a pair of wristwarmers in house colors.

Speaking of wristwarmers, these are the pair I received. Very comfy and warm, yet sadly the weather here hasn't been that cold! It's been warm during the day, and cold at night, but I'm usually indoors where things are warm enough. But I think it'll probably be colder when spring rolls around, so maybe I'll get a chance to wear them out then. I'd really like another pair in a brown/beige/offwhite/whatever color...maybe with cable-stitching, but the ribbing is nice too. Even though I know the very basics of knitting, I am not a knitter! So it's cool to have something knit by someone who knows what she's doing.

Over all, even though I didn't buy these things, I'd totally purchase from her in the future. ;3

My First Mittens

Since I used two colors, I had quite a bit of extra yarn from both. I used quite a bit of the pink though, which was also the color that got used the most...

I made mittens! My first time making them. Sure, they're not knit, but this pattern was much easier to follow since I know how to read them! I mention knit, because one of my friend's wanted me to knit her mittens one year if I could figure out the pattern from the English Gothic & Lolita Bible. I still have no clue how to read it, let alone know where it is now. I also don't know how to read diagrams/charts/whatever. I need instructions written out. Yup...

Mittens.

I finished the other one, but this is just to show what it looks like following the pattern. The second mitten doesn't have a bow though. I like that they don't match exactly in that sense.
